Bruce Joe

Bruce Clifford Joe, native Houstonian, born December 23, 1951, lost his courageous battle with cancer February 15, 2005. Bruce, a 1969 graduate of Waltrip High School, attended University of Houston. He enjoyed a successful career as a Piping Designer at Fluor, Aker Kvaener, Jacob Engineering where he had numerous friends and co-workers – Bruce was considered a mentor to many in the engineering field. During his career, he spent several months in Saudi Arabia working and documenting pipelines for Fluor, he and his co-workers barely escaped the Middle East just before the start of the Persian Gulf War in 1990.

 

He embraced life, enjoyed his family and friends. Enjoyed bowling, ping-pong and playing pool. Thursday, Bruce was always at the Ginger Man to spend the evening with his buddies and drinking cold Sierra Nevada Pale Ales.  He was an amateur photographer and had a small speaking part in the 1987 TV series premier “Houston Knights”.Bruce leaves his wife, Valerie and their three dogs, his mother, uncle, brothers, nephews, nieces, and cousins. All will miss him deeply.
